In 2015, the Young Men's Initiative pledged to add 1000+ new male teachers of color to New York City's classrooms by the end of 2018. This goal created NYC Men Teach, which focuses on engaging applicants that can enter the classroom from fall 2016 through fall 2018, given the appropriate supports.
